Ty Palmer

As weirdly subversive as it sounds, my main source of inspiration came directly from vintage Chinese & Russian propaganda posters from 60s & 70s. I love the contrast in works, along with the aesthetic of woodblock printmaking. There is also a nod to old travel posters from the jet set era. David Klein did these amazing posters for TWA back in the day that handled color in a captivating way. It’s also hard for me to ignore the works of Johannes Handschin, which I marvel at his technique and composition.
